The Generac Protector 48kW Diesel Standby Generator (RD04833ADAE) is designed to provide reliable backup power for large homes, commercial properties, and other facilities that need dependable electricity during power outages. Its 48,000-watt output supports essential electrical systems, including lighting, refrigeration, HVAC equipment, and other compatible electrical loads when properly sized and installed.
Powered by a diesel engine, this stationary standby generator is built for dependable operation when utility power is interrupted. Its automatic standby configuration works with a compatible transfer switch to restore power without requiring manual generator startup. The liquid-cooled engine design supports continuous operation during extended outages, subject to proper maintenance and operating conditions.
The generator features an Evolution™ digital controller with a multilingual LCD display, making it easier to check operating information and system status. Its electronic governor helps maintain stable engine speed, while digital voltage regulation of approximately ±1% supports consistent electrical output under changing loads.
The sound-attenuated aluminum enclosure helps reduce operating noise and protects internal components from outdoor conditions. Removable access panels simplify routine inspection and servicing. Mobile Link™ connectivity allows remote monitoring of generator status and maintenance information through compatible connected devices.
Designed with installation flexibility in mind, the Protector Series supports code-related accessories and configurations to help meet applicable installation requirements. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper electrical connections, fuel supply, ventilation, grounding, and compliance with local codes.
